THE Tufflite® Aluminum Spray Boom System
The Tufflite® Aluminum Spray Boom is used in conjunction with the Stainless steel TRAK-TANKS™ and mounted on the 3-point hitch of a whole gauge track tractor. The system eliminates the need for an additional sprayer unit and increases tractor utilization (no need for a self-propelled sprayer unit or a custom sprayer service) When used on a Tractor, this spraying system can take advantage of the tractor's flotation characteristics, making it possible to get fields sprayed in a timely and efficient manner. Compaction is also reduced, resulting in an approximate 3% increase in crop production, increasing the profit margin.
The Tufflite® Aluminum Spray Boom System can be operated smoothly and efficiently in rolling and uneven terrain at an average speed of 10.5 mph. Each outer section of the boom is independently operated by its own hydraulic cylinder, allowing the operator to easily raise an arm free of interfering objects or rolling terrain
The Boom can be raised to provide a maximum of 50 in. of ground clearance or lowered to a minimum of 20 in. of ground clearance with the 3-point hitch control. Each side of the boom has an outer section that folds over 180°. The inner boom sections fold forward for a width of 15 ft. for road or field transport. There is a 10 ft. breakaway at each end of the boom.
